Good-byes

We had a wonderful time with grandma and grandpa in San Antonio. Thanks for all the hospitality!

Fiesta Fun

One of my favorite times of year to visit San Antonio is during Fiesta. It is such a fun time of year! We strapped Anna Grace to Matt and braved the crowds of NIOSA and grandma sprinkled cascarones onto us, hence the confetti. We were there for a little over an hour and it was well worth it to me.

The next day we went down for King Williams. Anna Grace is hanging out in the stroller, feet up and soaking it all in. Matt was a sport through it all braving the crowds with her the whole time.

Toys at the grandparents

Have you ever noticed that there are a lot more "toys" when you visit the grandparents. They seem to let AG play with anything that she fancies, inculding the wind chime.

Eskimo kisses

Splish Splash

We had our first go in the pool this afternoon. Some of you reading this are probably thinking that would be sheer torture at this time of year, but grandma and grandpas pool is heated and just the right size! Here is our gorgeous girl with grandpa and me.

Bees and Ladybugs

My mom and I went shopping this afternoon, much to Matt's surprise! We came home with these little books and weren't they a hit!!!!

Wednesday morning

Just a quick little post of AG standing next to the ottoman that is just the right height, and doesn't have corners like the coffee table.

Just a few more shots

We had such a wonderful time and only wish that we could be with everyone more often. AG and Fiona are so close in age that it will continue to be great fun as they grow up together.
Thom reading one of AG's books with Grandma.

Here is AG and Fiona. (Fiona didn't feel well most of Sunday)

Here are AG and Aunt Linzi.

To Grandmother's House we go...

My poor parents just returned from 2+ weeks in Italy (ok, so I only feel marginally sorry for them) and within about 24 hours had my brother and his two kids and Matt, AG and I all arriving. It was a wonderful weekend, but my how time flies, not even one group shot was snapped. AG is enthralled with little people, like my 3 year old nephew Thom. Here he is with grandma and AG.

Perfect height

Our coffee table is the perfect height to cruise around....and it has so many things more interesting than the slew of toys that are already at her height.

Picnic lunch

Kyla and I met for lunch at the park earlier this week. We snapped about 40 pics last time we were there. This time I took two. However, I got a little giggle out of AG on the swing, and that made my day.

Spring time

This is one of my favorite parts about spring in Texas.

9 month checkup

We went to the doctor today. Anna Grace weighed 15 lbs 9.5 oz (8th percentile) is 27.5" long (50th percentile), and her head measures 17.25" (50th percentile).

Easter pics

We got a couple of good shots. The one with Brendan grabbing Kyle and running towards the picture.
It was a wonderful weekend and we were grateful for the hospitality. We hope you had a blessed Easter! (Oh and if you have little girls...I hope there were frilly dresses and patent leather shoes!)

Easter presents and pics

This first picture is of Kyle with the Pez dispenser that we brought. Aren't aunts and uncles fun??

Gigi and grandpa sent a package full of goodies. We had a great time with the books and of course the candy. You can see the kids were entertained.

Oh and AG decided this was a good time to walk around Betsy's living room, with help of course.

Road trip

We took a little road trip to Boston, TN. Our friends Tim and Faith, (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill for those of you not on a first name basis) let us know about this little general store with great bologna sandwiches. Anyway here we are on the porch right where they were and those sandwiches were worth the drive.

Same size?

What's your opinion, here are Anna Grace (9 months) and Wade(4 months) side by side. I can hardly wait until we find out how close in weight they are this week. We both have Dr's. check-ups.
Here are AG and Wade with their matching blankets. Ours is from Rick and Susan, Betsy's is from Dianne Howell. Too funny!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

What an Easter we had! We hopped on a plane and flew to Nashville to see Matt's sister Betsy, her husband Brendan and their kids Kyle and Wade. Here is the little one on the plane.
The trains come in because that is Kyle's favorite toy. He even shared them with AG. But, most days he can be seen standing in front of his train table and running Thomas and his friends in circles.
We were crammed into the automobile. As you can see 3 adults, and 3 kids in car seats make for a very full suv.

The park with the Cox's

We had a great time at lunch and then went across the street for some play time for the kids. Tyler is an old pro and she took off like it was nobody's business. Here she is on one of those rocking horses. She was going nuts, and she even got on it by herself.

This other picture is AG on the swings. At first she just watched Weston, like he was having so much fun. But later gould be seen looking like an old pro.

Sitting up proudly

The past few days (since Sat.) she has been sitting up in her crib when you come in to get her up from a nap. We really weren't sure how that was happening, but this morning I was playing with her and watched it happen. She just about gets up on all fours and then she pushes back with her arms until she is sitting. It is pretty cute, but again, she doesn't do much that I don't think is cute.

And as you can tell from the picture, the bruise is hardly noticeable today. Matt can stop beating himself up about that one....
It is time to meet Kyla, Tyler and Weston at the park. We may have more to post this afternoon.

Monday nights with daddy

I just became president of a group that meets Monday evenings. That leaves some one on one time for AG and her daddy. This was officially my first meeting and Matt called within 10 minutes of me leaving the house. She had tried to stand up next to a bin that was empty and tumbled onto her face. It left a little mark on her cheek and daddy feels awful. (I still feel that he is a great dad for wanting to be with her on Monday nights, regardless of the bumps and bruises.) Anyway, she obviously recovered quickly and has learned that if you cry, daddy lets you chew on his important things, even his remote control.
