Report Card day

Anna Grace chose one of our favorite ice cream shops as a reward for good grades this six weeks!  Nothing like blue ice cream!

Giggles

It's happy hour at Nonna's and that is likely to bring out the giggles and grins on these two.

Pooch parade

The girls also love the pooch parade and because it is right by my parents home, we can go without much trouble.  The girls are anxious to have our dog walk some year.  We have a long ways to go for that though!

What a great day!

15 YEARS!

Today we celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary.  It seems like yesterday that we gathered so many family and friends for a hot, sticky, cleave-filled evening.  But, then I look at these two girls that were merely prayers then and I can see how much time has passed.  We celebrated tonight with my parents, our kids, great margaritas, mexican food, a patio and a mariachi band. 

It's a perfect way to spend the day!

Frozen

We have a DVD in the car now....and both girls will finally watch an entire movie.  These are big steps for us!  Frozen definitely helps to pass the time on the way to SA.

Story time

I was folding clothes today and it was really quiet.  This is what I found, happiness!

Park picnic

Morgan Leigh and I walked to the park today for play time and a picnic.  It's a gorgeous day with abundant sunshine!

He is risen!

There is nothing like hunting eggs at sunrise.

They were done hunting and it still looks dark out though :)

On Good Friday, our church has a stations of the cross.  Last year was so powerful for my girls.  They totally understood the re-enactment in a way I wasn't prepared for.  This is our first Easter our new space and it is pretty exciting to have the tomb still there today.  The girls were anxious to see it empty!

We released butterflies after the service.  I love this tradition too!

I love seeing these beautiful creatures fly away leaving the empty papers.

We waited until after church to snap a family picture.

And then we were off to the O family Easter brunch.  She planned another egg hunt.

We ate lunch, and then the neighbor brought a bunny over for the kids to take pictures with.  (Here's my neighborhood envy taking over again!)

It was a lovely day with some of our favorite friends!

Dying eggs

I bought the girls a lot of eggs to dye.  Anna Grace said, I want to dye 4...  Well, that does make it much easier to eat all of the hard boiled eggs.

Morgan Leigh commented that we don't usually do this alone.  She's right, we usually have company for Easter.

This year it is just us and I am missing being surrounded by family!

Ice cream party

As a science project today, Anna Grace's class got to teach the kinder class how to make ice cream.  We were going to be outside in the garden, but God decided to water today.

Gracie bunny

 My little gracie bunny raced for lots of eggs.  Her party was today since she won't have school on Good Friday.  It is one of my last pre-school parties and that is totally sinking in!

Chimy's!

It's tax day.  We had to celebrate for lots of reasons.

1.  It's my moms birthday.
2.  It's Tuesday
3.  Matt got home at 4
4.  Perfect weather for a patio and a margarita.
5.  ML loves their sour cream packets.

Crafting

Tomorrow is the Easter party at ML's school.  We made these cute little water bottles and then glued on tails.  She will sit for hours and craft like this with me.

Fast friends

I watched Matthew today during teacher conferences.  He is pretty funny to have around!

Dinner anyone?

I found this precious menu for Anna Grace's new restaurant.  Jalapeno Shrimp - $3.56  Sounds good to me.

Cleaning out

This is our messy messy garage room.  It has been so full that we haven't been able to get to the Foosball table for years.  Three truck fulls to goodwill so far....more to come, but we can finally play foosball again!

Lunch dates

Morgan Leigh asked to take lunch today.  Our days for them to eat lunch together are getting shorter and shorter.  Although they will be at the same school next year, their  lunch times will be different by more than an hour.  Today was also a fundraiser day.  Pay $1 and you don't have to wear a uniform.  This is what she picked and her sister wanted to match :)

And then at carpool pick up, ML and her new friend raced a baby toy back and forth.  She will be in our class next year and I am so thankful that we are meeting our new friends early.

Art showing

She is so excited to see her art on display!  She was one of 3 second graders chosen from her school.

What I did not expect was that there were about 30 kids from every elementary school in FWISD.  There are a lot of people!

This was one of her first projects of the year based on the art of Kandinsky.  We are so proud of you peanut!

Egged!

Today was a hard day.  Inside and out it was difficult.  But we delivered dinner to our friends and came home to find our house egged.  It's not the kind of egged that your thinking.  Rather there were eggs in the yard and a basket full of goodies and notes.  Those notes were about how we bless this families life.  We are so blessed by them too!  And today I am thankful for friends that can change my outlook on the day with their generosity.

Two peas

I have these two peas.  Some days they are alike as can be....some days they are as different as their hair color.  But

Brownie sundaes

We baked for the teachers at AG's school this week.  There's nothing like taking one of those brownies and making sundaes for an after school snack.
