Cruising

Maxi skirt

AG has wanted to make a skirt since spring break.  Our weekends have been packed though and we finally had time to sew today!

Not too shabby for an afternoon of sewing!  (Love the belly buttons on display!)

Best daddy

Matt caught me snapping the picture.  The giggles are contagious though.  And in 10 more seconds they were all dancing away.

Cousin time

We intended to be in the pool today.  But the weather has other plans.  The kids didn't seem to mind.  Chicken foot with the oldest three....

And perler beads for the littles.  It's still fun to get together - regardless of time in the water.

Sushi!

These little bodies can put away some sushi!  We went to Blue tonight and they couldn't get enough!

Ladies brunch

 Annually we seem to start our Colonial Golf weekend with a brunch at our friends house.  These ladies always make the day so much fun.  This year was one for the books though.  It was cool and rainy all day.

So after a start indoors - Stacey and I got drenched and gave up by noon.  We were soaked and cold.  There's always next year!

Spanish showcase

 At the end of every school year, our program puts on a little skit to show each child speaking in spanish.  It's always a highlight for me..

Morgan Leigh's class did a version of Brown Bear Brown bear with jungle animals.

Anna Grace's class did a dance, and since their class has twice as many girls as boys - it was a little lopsided.

And they finished with a Randy Travis song about why they love their parents.

Graduation weekend

I left my kiddos at home this weekend and climbed into my parents car for an Iowa road trip.  Jordan made a point to invite all of us to her graduation weekend.  So it felt a little like deja vu when I crawled into the backseat and we took off.  Almost like I was 14 again.  We snapped this picture before heading to watch Andrew graduate with honors Friday night. 

Saturday we filled with shopping, lunch and family time.

So glad to be a part of celebrating someone I love.

Congrats Jordie!  You are going to be an amazing teacher.  That first grade class is lucky to have you.

Colonial Golf Clinic

The girls love going to the golf clinic before the Colonial every year.

ML even won a prize while she was putting this year.  Fun way to spend their Sunday afternoon without me!

No rules weekend

I was out of town for the weekend celebrating my niece - and it appears the "wheels are off" as we like to say!  Donuts for breakfast.

Kincaid's for dinner.  I am glad for them to have some daddy time though, and who knows what tomorrow will hold!

Matching pjs

Over spring break the girls both picked out some fabric for matching pj's.  Nonna delivered them tonight and they couldn't wait to put them on.  Thank you Nonna!

Piano lessons

We have the most patient and wonderful piano teacher.  ML has patiently waited through all of AG's lessons this school year.  Today she sat ML down at the piano and asked her to play one of the first songs.  ML could totally do it just from listening.  It was so fun to watch!

Mother's Day

It is our annual tradition to take these shots on Mother's Day.  They are priceless to me!

We will celebrate today with brunch and Matt's mom over.

Crawfish boil 2015

We loaded up the car for the annual crawfish boil again.  Our friends are always nice enough to host this poolside and my girls have a blast with the other kids there.  This year though they actually had to heat the pool because it's so cold.

Birthday picnic

The girls got to go to a sweet birthday party today.  We love celebrating our friends.  Happy Birthday Mattie!

Vintage toys

A dear friend from church has a house full of boys.  She asked if we would like to see some of her vintage barbies.  The girls enjoyed every messy minute with those 1970's toys!

District walk

Matt took the girls to the annual district walk today.  They were so excited to win the school with most participation!  Go buffaloes!

Worker bee

AG and I spent the afternoon getting some teacher gifts ready.  She is a great helper and I could hire her immediately to help run Peanuts & Cupcakes.

We went out for lunch after church today.  I love how much they love one another and just can't resist snapping these photos of them.

Casa

Tonight is our last Casa show for this season.  It is such a fun night out with the girls.  We can't wait to do it again next year!
