Drop-off playtime

We had Eli over for a drop-off playdate today.  I don't know why I haven't offered it before.  They play so well together and we had a great time.

Driving carts

We tried a new grocery store for the first time today and it was a great experience!  It had this cart with a double basket behind.  I don't typically let ML ride down there with Anna Grace, but they were both so excited to be together.  That is until Morgan Leigh found her pigtails and insisted on pulling them.  :)  They also loaded my car with the groceries while I was buckling in the girls.

Rah Rah TCU

The annual Meet the Frogs day was Saturday.  It really is a well done event!  The first thing Anna Grace wanted to do was get her face painted, with sparkles of course.  We waited in a horribly long line and tried every few minutes to get her to change her mind.

Morgan Leigh was content to ride along and enjoy her snacks and water.  Sweet little girl, she was so tiny at the last one :)

Then we went through the line for the TCU showgirls.  They were lined up and she got every single autograph.

We took a second to pose with Superfrog.  Notice her pose, remember she's 4!  Where did she learn that??

Lastly, we took a quick picture with daddy.  It was a great day and totally has us excited for some college football....Gig 'Em Aggies!

Fork

Morgan Leigh is totally getting the hang of a fork.  Like all the things that her older sister does, that's exactly how she wants to do it.  So I was home alone with the girls tonight for dinner and thought I'd let her do it.  I stabbed a piece of meatball and without hesitation it went straight to her mouth.  She did it over and over and after dinner got straight into the bath (or kitchen sink where we currently do those!)

Missing daddy

Morgan Leigh is loving being read to.  It really is such a fun thing to do with her at this age!  I read somewhere that a child at the age of 9 months can retain words from a single book up to 2 weeks later, which is just mind-boggling to me.

I brought the girls home Monday and Matt is quite exhausted.  But, they were just thrilled to see him.  ML crawled over with this book and he laid down to read it.  She was trying so hard to figure out the best place to sit, and I had to snap a picture.

Packing

Here are the girls as we were packing their things.  They are off to spend 5 days with Gigi and Grandpa.  5 days and Anna Grace is about to burst with excitement.

What will we do with ourselves?  Some suggested we should get away, have some happy hours, enjoy some nice dinners out.  That all sounds great, but instead we are remodeling our bathroom.  I am crazy and have somehow talked Matt into following my lead on this.  I will post more about the remodel when it's complete.  Say a prayer for us, our safety, our sanity, mostly our marriage!

Amy's shower

Another friend named Amy is getting married.  (I was thinking back to the differences between the first wedding shower I hosted and this one.)  I was so glad to see my friends again!

A picture of the hostess pouring the drinks.  I do wonder how many batches she made!

And lastly Amy and Mere together.  I wish Eric and Amy a lifetime of happiness together!  And look forward to celebrating them in October.

Craft-filled day!

We met our playgroup this morning at the art studio.  I was such a neat space for the kids to get a little creative in.  We all wore our tie-dye shirts and had some fun being creative.  When we came home there was a package for AG from Gigi.  It was a shinky dink for her back pack and she insisted on doing it right away!

When Morgan Leigh woke up from her nap that afternoon she was trying her hardest to sit on AG's lap in the silly Elmo chair.  Too funny!

Elephants on Main Street

Every year the circus comes to town, they march the elephants up Main Street.  Last year we tried to go and sadly, missed them entirely.  But we saw them this year.

It was so hot, so crowded and after bedtime.  But once again the girls did great!

Here's ML all sweaty-headed.  What a fun night to share with some of AG's school friends and their families!

Pedicure

I broke down.  I broke down and painted Anna Grace's toes.  She has previously only had that done from Nonna or Jordie.  I must've had a weak moment and I did it.  So now we have matching toes, polka dots and all!

Eli turned 5!

We went to a pirate party to celebrate Eli tonight, after driving home from SA.  I think we were all pretty exhausted!  Here's AG after decorating the pirate ship cookie.

ML LOVED the food.  I literally served her 3 helpings of Stacey's mac 'n cheese.  Truth be told, I order it for AG all the time so that I can clean up what she doesn't eat!  So here she is posing with Miss Stacey.

ML is also enamored with balloons and doing the cha-cha.  I am not sure what she is giggling over here, but she had a great time.

Sadly, there aren't many pictures of AG from the night.  She was off, decorating hats, and cookies, playing games with the pirate, and eating lots of goodies.  It was a fun party, happy birthday Eli.

Happy hour

We have a long-standing tradition of happy hour in our family.  Grandma Weedie insisted on the nightly ritual, and we continue it to this day.  Here is Anna Grace dancing with grandpa.  I remember doing the exact same thing with my daddy!

I seemed to really only have the camera out to take pictures in the pool this visit.  We did have to snap some update ones for Nonna's phone though.

And lastly, a picture with everyone.  We had a wonderful time.  Thank you for every precious moment.  We love and miss you already!

More pics from SA

The silly comes out at bedtime.  AG has a stroller at our house, but it is quite big for ML to play with.  Nonna has a stroller that is just her size.  She was taking a turn pushing and Anna Grace sat in it.  Morgan Leigh couldn't have been prouder!

I snapped this picture of our last day in the pool.  AG convinced daddy to get in early in the morning and got the rest of us in for the afternoon swim.  Two swims a day and we are all worn out!

Nonna and V posing for a pic!
And lastly the "train" that choo-chooed around the pool.

Pool time

The girls are loving every moment of being in San Antonio this week.  The highlight for both might be the pool though.

Here is one of each of the girls.  Anna Grace has been swimming all around the pool.  I think this is the first trip she has negotiated for more time in the pool when it's time to get out.  My little fish!

Not to be left out, Morgan Leigh is loving every part of it.  We have this float that she will lay her head back on or she'll kick on my lap or chase the bubbles.  So much fun!  Daddy is feeling left out and contemplating a drive down here to join us.  Wouldn't that be fun?

Ice Cream

Nonna bought these adorable dresses a while ago.  Anna Grace begs to wear them often, but I realized we've never snapped pictures.  This is how the photo session typically go.  One good shot with both girls looking at the camera....

And then collapsing into giggles.  I love having girls!

Someone at church today commented on how coordinated we all were and wanted to get a family picture.  Thank you Elizabeth!
