Pumpkin carving

The girls were anxious to get their pumpkins carved.  ML was smart this year and opted for painting instead of the messiness of carving.

School projects

This year the school has a theme of countries around the world.  For history fair, the students were each asked to choose a country of importance to their family.  AG had to turn hers in a few weeks ago and chose Germany from my family side.  Matt encourage ML to choose Norway for his side.  He was traveling this week, so she and I did most of the work just the two of us.  We had one question left, "why is this country important to your family?"  I thought Matt would like to do that with her.  So they got Gigi on speaker phone and asked her the question.  There was a long pause and she said, "Well, I'm not sure why Norway is important.  My family was from Denmark."  Needless to say, Matt may never ever live this down! #norwayisgreat

Drum fit demo

Anna Grace was asked to be part of the BHE team representing her school for Drum Fit.  They did a little demonstration and then all got to pose with the mayor!  Go buffalos!

Walkathon 2016

It's walkathon day and the weather couldn't be more perfect!  These girls will be honored today at the award ceremony for top earners in the school!  We are so proud of them!

Fasting blood draw

AG had a high cholesterol reading and we got to meet with an endocrinologist today.  They recommended a fast this am and as soon as we were done she asked for yogi's.  I am pretty sure these are the foods the doc asked us to refrain from.

Happy 10th birthday McKinley's

Walkathon wrap up

I had one of those weeks.  I am so grateful for a hubby that loves to make that up and then some!  He's feeding 3 families worth of kiddos pizza, while we have happy hour! #amazingdad #happyfriyay #

Dress down

As a walkathon reward - 2nd and 5th grade earned a dress down day.  These two are huge reasons why their grades won that reward.  #walkathon2016

Dinners delivered

In an effort to meet their Walkathon goals this year, the girls are thinking bigger than special k bars.  This year we are doing dinners too.  They delivered chicken enchiladas with rice and beans last week.  This week, they are delivering Matt's infamous pulled pork casserole.  All donations are tax deductible and they are making a killing!  One friend even suggested this might be a business venture, but I am worn out!

LMRA

The first location of our church was recently taken down to put up the new Whole foods.  Today was the grand opening of the Whole Foods and after bible study we took a little field trip.  So full of gratitude that I get to share life with these faithful women.

Friends

Sunday nap

Morgan Leigh had a sleepover last night.  Apparently there was little sleep, it calls for a quilt and a Sunday nap.

Dream big

The girls received a shipment today from a godparent today.  She signed them up to receive monthly science boxes.  Such a fun activity!  #spoiledbystacey

Casa night

We have added my parents to our casa season tickets.  It's time for the first show and they are in Greece.  So we invited a friend of mine and her daughter to join us.  The girls got to take a field trip here earlier this week, but were still excited to see the show again!

Awards ceremonies

My sweet girl was determined to have her picture taken at the awards ceremony.  She got quite a few awards, from honorable character to high A honor roll.  Proud of her!

Walkathon time!

Kiddos

I love when we get together with old friends and the kids are able to pick up like no time has passed too.  Time goes by so quickly and we miss them dearly!  But it was great to have lunch after our soccer game!
