Sunday morning

After leaving Port Aransas we recovered a little bit in San Antonio before heading home. Sunday morning Anna Grace asked to paint with Nonna and V. It was what she wanted to do at about 6:15am and we were able to put it off until we all had some coffee.

The next task of course was feeding the fish. I know I take a million of these, but it isn't often that there is a lily blooming in the pond. :)

Port Aransas

We decided to take advantage of Matt's time off with a trip to Port Aransas. We had a few days that were available after his last day and before I shouldn't travel this far. The beach sounded perfect and I thought AG would love it.

She was a little timid at first. You know, getting dirty and all...I snapped this when we first arrived Tuesday morning. I am not sure if she was missing her hat or posing for the picture. It's hard to say.

Here's a shot of Nonna and V taking her into the waves. I wish that we had remembered the video camera because the shrieks of joy were priceless!

Here she is searching for some seashells.

Daddy taking her for a "spin" in the waves.

Anna Grace is calling for someone to help her build a sandcastle to destroy. She loved to watch you build them and then jump on them. I had a 2 story one and when she tried to jump on it, she missed and sat on it. It made all of us laugh!

This is probably my favorite shot of the week.

Here daddy is showing her his "fresh dead" bait.

And lastly, a final pose in the shark's mouth in town. We had a fantastic time and are so glad that Nonna and V wanted to join us!

Baking cookies

We came to Nonna's yesterday and Anna Grace helped make some cookies this afternoon. She was a big helper and has eaten her fair share of my favorite cookies today.

One of my greatest memories of my grandmother's home was the cookies that were always on hand. Every visit meant a freezer full of every cookie she made. So cookies at grandma's seems only natural.

Gigi and Grandpa's

We spent a couple of nights at Gigi and Grandpa's this weekend. Before we left, Grandpa took AG for a spin in the Corvette. Anna Grace loves a ride in the convertible!

We had a great time, but this was my only picture.

34 weeks

I went to see Dr. B again today. I got kudos for the 3 pounds of weight gain and she estimates lil P weighs about 5 lbs. The heartbeat was way up to 160 this visit and my blood pressure continues to be really low.

Graduation party

Saturday we went to a graduation party for our friend Jeff. They hosted a party with a huge bounce house and some great food. The kids had a blast and it was nice to see everyone.

Here is AG climbing up to the slide in the bounce house. Congratulations Jeff!

Friday night dinner

We had some friends over for dinner last night. I was so glad that they could join us and the kids could play together. Anna Grace used her fishing pole to curl poor Eli's hair during the evening. Luckily, he didn't seem to mind at all.

Thanks for joining us, we can't wait to do it again soon!

Zoo trip

As if the park trip wasn't enough this week, I told Anna Grace we could go to the zoo. It was a bribe after convincing her that she couldn't wear her swimsuit all day. So before we pull into the lot, I saw the cops directing traffic...not a great sign. Again with the school buses and I wish there were only 7. Anyway, we survived.

Everything involved questions these days, here she is picking up one of the story phones. "Mommy, how do you text on these phones?"

Empty park

I thought that I would take AG to a park the other day. We arrived and there wasn't another person there. I was so excited. We got into the park and were there less than 10 minutes when all these school buses showed up. I don't think the picture does justice to how many kids unloaded from the buses in the background. I counted 6 buses, it was a little overwhelming. Needless to say, AG and I left shortly they all arrived.

San Antonio trip

Anna Grace and I went down to San Antonio this week for a quick trip. We spent a good deal of time in the pool, which AG can't get enough of. After dinner she insisted on putting her feet in, which grandpa obliged.

Another new favorite is a little corner in my mother's front living area. There is a whole slew of antiques and breakable things which I wouldn't allow her to play with in a million year. Nonna on the other hand...everything is fair game.

A few minutes later she was handing this silver pitcher to Nonna in pieces.

Grandpa V also was nice enough to watch AG for 2 afternoons so that I could attend a little bit of PEO state convention. It was a wonderful trip. Thanks for having us!

Doctor's update

I went in today for my 32 week checkup. The visits are coming faster and faster. Everything looks fine, but the doctor was a little concerned about my lack of weight gain this past month. I did have a cold this past week though and maybe that had something to do with it. All the rest of my measurements were right on target.
