Sunsets

We raced home to see the end of a sunset that we spotted in the car.  We couldn't see it at home, but we were reminded how amazing God is!

Love Shack

We had a spur of the moment dinner with all 4 grandparents tonight.  We loaded up and headed to Love Shack for burgers and beer.  Everyone is all smiles after the first full week!

Fri-Yay!

It's Friday and our first week is in the books.  Happy Friday!

Giant cookies!

It's been a great first day!  The girls were excited about the giant cookie tradition.  Uncle Paul and Aunt Janice called recently to ask if we realize how many photos are food related....we hadn't until now, but it is funny!

First day!

These sweet girls start 5th grade and 2nd grade today!

They are patient enough to pose for all of the photo ops still.

It's Anna Grace's last year as a Buffalo, and I am left wondering where the time as gone!

She has had Mrs. Barberena before and we are thrilled to have her again.

Ms. Cotto is in her second year at our school and I expect amazing things this year!!  It's going to be a great year!

Steak dinner

We gave the girls a choice of where to have dinner tonight.  They chose Silver Fox and we were not disappointed. It was a nice back to school dinner.  I love how attached they get to some of our traditions.

Lunch date

We met these sweet friends for lunch today!  It has rained almost the whole week before school starts.  The kids had a little show for us with their umbrellas.  Rain, rain go away.

Breakfast treats

We had breakfast at McKinley's today (bucket list check) and asked grandpa to meet us too.  Dessert at 9 am?  It's the last week of summer!

Hatch festival

Matt and I had the dates wrong for Hatch fest at Chuy's this year.  We thought we were coming on one of the last days, but it was one of the first.  Regardless, we got our fix of spicy!  Now we are off to meet the teacher.

MELT

It's our last week of summer and we cannot squeeze enough in.  Usually this is a week of making sure we did everything on the bucket list and doing some of those things one last time before school starts.  The girls really wanted to go to Burger's Lake and the Bucket Pool, but alas the weather has other plans.  So we ended up at Melt for lunch.  Ice cream for lunch totally makes sense!!

Fast friends

One of my college roommates brought her kiddos to Fort Worth today.  It is so fun to watch our kiddos reconnect so quickly again.  We got to eat sno-cones at sugar shack and have a quick cocktail before they headed home.

Movie day

The girls were asking to see the Secret Life of Pets.  We took them today and spent most of the movie with them on our laps asking to leave.  Not exactly a success!

Pool party!

We had a cookout after church today for the Sunday school kids!  What a fun time to share fellowship with our friends!
