Happy Halloween

We carved a few little pumpkins yesterday afternoon. Anna Grace and I had a blast doing it. Here she is helping take out the seeds.

Today we trick-or-treated with the neighbors. A few years ago there weren't any kids on our block. Now there are 5 girls. AG loves to hang with the big girls and they are usually more than happy to let her.

She walked a couple of blocks with Isabelle and really got the hang of the candy. By the last house she reached in and got her own candy out even. Oops! Hope that y'all had a wonderful Halloween.

Bailey

This was our last family picture this weekend. Bailey was such a special dog and loved by almost everyone that met him. We will miss him dearly! Please say a prayer for all of us today.

Fall Festival

Today was the fall festival at our church. Here's AG enjoying a sucker from the trunk 'r treating.

And posing for some pictures.

Shanon's birthday

We went to Shanon's birthday last night and all had a great time. We have missed seeing them all the time lately. AG enjoyed all of Stoney's toys and playing with Stoney's cousin Ella.
Happy Birthday Shanon.

River Party

My friend Stacey gave us free tickets to join them at a Friends of the River Party last night. It was so much fun, thanks for inviting us! There was face painting and a live band and food from some of our favorite restaurants. If you ask AG what Stacey does, she promptly responds "she makes good cookies!"

AG having her face painted.
Here's Stacey's son Eli and AG enjoying one of the exhibits for kids.

And lastly enjoying the band with some definite hip action. :) Thanks again for the tickets, next year, we'll join you again!

Round Rock Sunday

We enjoyed a picture perfect fall day in Round Rock today. We went to early church, and then met Stef, Charlie and Gus at the park for some fun.

Aren't they adorable together? I loved catching up with Stef because she is one of the few people that I know that has the same food "concerns" as I do. :) We can totally relate about how all our other friends think we are a little nutty.

I just couldn't resist this little pose for me.

And lastly a picture of Gigi, Grandpa and Matt before we hit the road again. Thank you for the all day babysitting and all the hospitality. Love y'all!

A&M vs tt game highlight

Once again the highlights of the game were not necessarily during the game... We got to meet up with one of Matt's prior fish camp co-counselors. It was wonderful to see Leslie, catch up and snap a quick picture. (I promised no belly shots, but it's a pretty cute baby bump!)

After the game we got to see Stef and Charlie as well. The great part about that was getting to see them this morning as well.

Favorite phrases

I was talking with Nonna this weekend and saying that I should post something about Anna Grace's words and phrases that are just a little off. I know that one day soon, I will want for her to say them just one more time for me.

When she first started talking, before anything was understandable she used to say "abbey, abbey" when she was finished eating. Later, she could be hear saying "I you". It was always in response to "I love you" and I already miss that a little. Chatpa, or as most of you know it ketchup, is one of AG's favorite condiments. The other day for the first time she said ketchup, but quickly went back to her habit. She also has this little head tilt when she is asking if you would like to share with her. "You want some?"

And lastly, I was in the kitchen with her last week when a school bus drove on the street. I asked her what color it was and she replied, "it's orange" and I said, "no, isn't it yellow?" She gave in kind of defeated and said, "it's yellow" and then under her breath I heard her say, "but it's a little orange." I almost fell over laughing.

13 years

Matt and I got Bailey 13 years ago this Jan. It seems unreal to me that it has been so long. We noticed a growth this spring and found out on Thurs. that he has lymphoma. We will get official results from the biopsies by Tues and will have to figure out from there how to proceed.

Aggie Football

Anna Grace got to go to a game yesterday. The aggies played Kansas State and it was good to have some distraction from what was happening on the field.
Here we are before the game started with grandpa V.
And here's Matt and AG before the start of the game. We were trying to get a picture in to 12th Man televsion. It didn't get on the screen, but it's a cute shot from my phone.
Anna Grace and I at the game. It was right before she took over the binoculars to try to find Nonna and V. She must have asked everyone near us where her Nonna was. Plus, she woke up with a runny nose yesterday morning so she was a little harder to undersand than normal.
Here's Anna Grace at our tailgate finding Nonna's change purse. She looked up and grinned and said "Money"!
She is already asking daddy to take her to a football game. :) We're glad that she had fun, and she was such a big girl at the game!

Go Cowboys

I wanted to get a picture of Anna Grace in her new dress. I bought it at a show this weekend and think it looks pretty cute. I could've made it myself, but sometimes it's fun to just shop.

And here are AG and daddy hanging out watching the cowboys game. Sometimes it's good to have more than one team to root for on a weekend...But, Anna Grace definitely has my lack of attention for the game.

Porch parties

We have gotten in the habit of gathering with one of our neighbors for impromtu porch parties. The 5 girls all love them and it is fun to sit and relax. They sometimes get a little rowdy as you can see from the dog pile.

And we snapped this one a few minutes later. Such a ham! Anyway, it's great to enjoy the evening with them.

Nonna's house

There is so much to do when we visit Nonna's house. The pool was a huge hit, especially since they got the new heater installed. Thanks for all the work on that end V.

Nonna also has a huge suitcase of dolls and clothes. The girls loved it.

The kids also love that piano. 3 kids banging out a song at 7 am, it has to be music to everyone's ears. Thom and AG caught in the act.

Nonna and V also took all of us to the Children's museum as well. Here are AG and Nonna enjoying the aquarium.

and lastly a picture of the boat. I love that the kids can get Nonna and V to do anything at all.
And lastly the night-night story time. Here's Thom, Fi and AG all crowded around Nonna for a last story.

It was a fantastic trip. Congratulations on your 50 years together Nonna and V. We had a fabulous week celebrating you. Miss you already.
