Park day

Matt and I drove the convertible today to the park.  It cooled down significantly about noon, but the car was out.  ML loves the swings!

Anna Grace ran right over to her favorite spot too.

She took off on the swing.  She was pumping her legs and swinging right along side Morgan Leigh and I.  Just another instance of how much she's grown up!

And a last shot in the kiddie swings.

Jan cruise

It has been the perfect weekend to get the car out and go for a ride.  AG loves riding and playing in it.

Morgan Leigh was quick to catch on to the fun.

Stockshow and rodeo

We started our day with a visit to see it they could polish Anna Grace's boots.  She hopped right up there and didn't think twice.  Typical!

Then it was inside to the rodeo that started at 10am.  She loved it.  Her favorite part was the baby cows (otherwise known as the calf scramble)
Morgan Leigh enjoyed it as well.  What a fun morning!

We grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed into the barns to look at the animals.  The first stop...the pigs.  ML started yelling "cow, cow!"  Close, but not quite.  :)  Now the girls are resting for a big parents night out.  We are hosting dinner club this evening.

Western Day

Today was western day at Anna Grace's school.  She was all set this year, and practiced saying "Howdy, y'all!" over and over before we left.  Even though that is prety much part of her everyday language :)

Loving

Anna Grace is one of the most affectionate people I have ever met.  She will always come out of her way for a hug, a kiss or anything.  Morgan Leigh is a little different.  We all get so excited when ML is willing and not fighting it.  Here's AG taking advantage.

4 day weekend

Daddy has had a nice long weekend with us.  He snapped this Saturday morning before we went to our friend's farm.  Very lazy morning!

I took the camera this weekend specifically to get pics of the 3 girls together, but didn't even get the camera out of the car.  They played so well together and it was a perfect weekend.  Thanks for hosting all of us dear friends!

Vroom, vroom

I guess these girls love cars because daddy does.  The hallway is the perfect spot to race them too!  I was in the kitchen and heard the vroom vroom.  I would've loved to be able to sneak in and get it more in the moment.

But, Anna Grace had to pose.  Anna Grace is quite observant about other cars around us.  She often points out other ones that are similar to mine, but notices differences in the rims etc.  We drove down the road the other day and she had to tell me to look quick, 3 Tahoes in a row.  I don't know many 4 year olds can do that!

Cotton Bowl

Anna Grace requested to be totally decked in Aggie gear for the game tonight.  We had a little pizza picnic on a blanket in front of the tv for dinner.  I think daddy was disappointed not to be at the game, but we sure loved having him here.

Matt wanted to get a picture of her tattoo, which only caused a little bit of morning routine drama.  (I couldn't find the tattoos...)

Instead of bedtime stories, Anna Grace opted to watch the first part of the game.  Gig 'Em Aggies.

Camping out

The girls had a camp out yesterday in the hallway.  I couldn't resist capturing the moment.  It started when I washed the bumper pads for the crib.  I put them in the hallway while ML was napping and when she got up the girls had so much fun.

18 months

I have held off on posting her 18 month post because of our doctors visit.  We were out of town for Dec. 23, so we waited until yesterday for the visit.  Here are her stats:

21lbs 13 oz (15%)
32.25" ( 70%)
head 18" (25%)

The doctor was very pleased that she is definitely on the chart in weight and commented this is her first time to be solidly on the chart :)

She also has so many new things that she does.  She roars and buzzes and says "hello" to the little fish.  What Do You Say continues to be one of her favorite books.  She LOVES my phone.  It's old and beat up, so I let her gab away.  She often puts it next to her ear and goes on and on.  "Giggle, giggle, giggle" is one word that she repeats over and over while on the phone.  She has been feeding her baby dolls bottles lately and will put herself in timeout if given a warning.  Her vocabulary is growing too.  She can say dog, banana, nonna, mama, daddy, and cheese just to name a few.

We got down the potty a few weeks ago.  (Have I mentioned how much I love the space in our remodeled bathroom?!?)  She will sit on it often throughout the day, but we haven't really pushed it.  At night before bath Matt usually sits her on it.  Today she went in and actually pottied!  YEAH Morgan Leigh!!!

Gigi and grandpa's visit

We had a visit from Gigi and Grandpa this weekend to celebrate Christmas. Anna Grace is enjoying Morgan Leigh's gift.

Grandpa and Matt took the time to put some casters on my new craft cabinet. It is our old tv cabinet and I have taken it over. The only drawback was that I couldn't do laundry. So with the new casters, I'm all set. Morgan Leigh really wanted to help out. First by crawling all over daddy...

Next by picking up all the screws. So helpful!

Rah Rah!

We went down to TCU today to welcome home the team.  It was a little chilly and we were all bundled up.  AG got to take her picture with the showgirls while we waited for the team.  They looked so cold!  It's hard not to root for the purple around here.  They had a great year, rah rah TCU!
