Gigi and grandpa

Gigi and Grandpa stopped in for a night on their way to Nashville last night.  She made the girls these adorable shirts.  Thanks Gigi!

One, two

ML's new shoes came today.  Of course, it's the coldest it has been in a month!  She did model them for a minute though.  Too cute!

First Haircut!

We gave the cupcake her first haircut this weekend.  (Our favorite girlie girlie place here closed)  And my mom convinced me I could do it myself.  Hmmm!  So far so good right?

But, by the end, it was cracking us both up.  It's straight, and I hardly took anything off.  :)  Another first, big girl!

Bounce away!

After soccer, we rushed over to a bounce party.  We changed in the car and hurried inside!  Here's AG posing with the birthday girl.

Double Header

We had more soccer this weekend.  I mentioned to a friend that it was "only 6 weekends", her reply was towards the end of the season she wanted to know if "only" was still included in that statement.

This is a picture of some of the fire ants with our coach.  He is fabulous!  He is so encouraging and on their level.  He has made our first experience with soccer great.

Here's Anna Grace getting to throw in the ball.

Morgan Leigh quickly found a friend and a place to make herself comfortable.

And lastly, victory.  Congrats Fire Ants!

Sweet Stacey!

My dear friend is having a girl.  We are so excited for their family.  I have planned on making her a quilt and thinking that I had until May to complete it.  The shower was today.

She seemed pretty excited when she discovered what it was.  She knows that precious little girl will be wrapped in my prayers for a long time to come.  Congratulations sweet friend, I am blessed to know you.

Weekend fun

On the way to the airport I saw a neighbor having a garage sale and asked my dad to go grab a ride on toy for ML.  They didn't have the one that I meant left, but she was so pround of her new tricycle.

AG sweet talked him into a doll high chair for herself.  They had tea on the porch with the dolls all present.

And then we were out back for some grilling and giggling.

And a last cuddle with V.  It was such a fun week.  I have been looking forward to it for months!  Now is the letdown, which is never as fun.  Love all of you!

St. Patricks' Day

A visit from V really isn't complete without a wagon ride.  Anna Grace thought she should pull it this time, but I don't think it lasted.

We ate lunch outside because it was such a gorgeous day.  It was green themed food even.

Here's AG showing off her green mac 'n cheese.  It was one of my memories from childhood is mom making the blue box turn green for St. Pat's.  We also had guacamole.

We eventually had to move to the shade of the front porch though.  It was getting warm out back.

Then we did some crafts for the family.  I think Nonna thought we were crazy, but she quickly joined in to help.

Then we were off to an irish pub.  Nonna even made me call to make sure that they had their favorite irish beers on tap.  They did and off we went.

And onto Chimy's after that to fill Jordie with some mexican before she left.  It was a fantastic visit!  Thank you sweet Jordie for choosing to spend your week off with us.  We loved every minute and are counting down to our next time together.

Picture Day!

Nothing like starting the day after Chimy's with some cuddle time (and pictures!  Sorry Nonna!)  It's probably one of the first times that ML has ever crawled up onto her lap on day 2 of a visit.

I just couldn't resist the cheesey grin on her.

Grandpa V was getting a lesson from AG on doing a mermaid.  He was quite a good sport about the whole thing.

AG couldn't be left out of the shots though.

Matt ended up taking a half day today so he didn't miss out on all of our fun.  We had snacks at Sweet Sammie's.  YUM!

Happy hour on the porch with chalk again.  ML had it everywhere!

AG is so attached to Jordie on these visits.  "Jordie, let's do ____" is often heard.  I love her energy for my girls.

And lastly the nightly Nakie time, and a little button grab!

Chimy's

Jordie made a list of places to go when she arrived.  On top of the list was Chimy's, which Nonna insisted we wait until she was here.  So Nonna got to make her first trip to Chimy's with Jordie.

We do usually have a great time at this fun little bar.  Thanks Jordie for capturing some of our laughter!

I probably should have left this picture out because of the foreground.  But I just love it too much!

The girls

Today we shopped and ate at one of my favorite lunch spots.  And finished the day on the front porch for happy hour and chalk time.

Rah Rah

Jordie is quite the college baseball fan.  TCU was home today and I remembered it's always family day on Sundays.  We had a blast!

There's always tons of things for the kids.  Bounce houses, face painting, etc.  To top off the afternoon we did nails during nap time.

She's Here!!

We had a great first day with Jordie here.  Soccer game in the morning and pizza night for dinner.  YEAH!  We are looking forward to having here for a whole week.

Go Fire Ants

Officially today was our first day of spring break.  My niece came to spend her spring break with us too!  We have been looking forward to her visit for WEEKS!

Our first soccer game was today, and we couldn't have chosen a more appropriate team name for our team.  We played a much younger team and there was a swarm of maroon around the ball at all times.
Morgan Leigh was happy to sit on the blanket with us and play with Jordie's phone.
We look forward to more Saturdays with our friends!

Zoo

I couldn't pass up the beautiful day and off to the zoo we went.

ML is the perfect age for the trip.  She enjoyed at Special K bar (what's all over her dress) before we posed in front of the flamingos.

Choice applications

We got a letter in the mail today with our "lottery" application results.  Spanish immersion was our second choice, and that's what we got.  I have been expecting it to say that, so I wasn't disappointed!  Our peanut is ready for kindergarten.  WOW!

Prayer time

We always bless our food before dinner.  Morgan Leigh always remembers.  We usually hold hands while praying, but tonight was a little different.  I was able to snap this picture.

Canton trip

We took the weekend to travel to Canton to spend the weekend with our friends.  The weather wasn't cooperating for First Monday, but the girls were all bundled up.  I bought quite a bit of stuff and had such a fun day!  Thanks for hosting us again Grant and Amy!

Picnic lunch

We had a full day of nothing pressing to do.  I asked Anna Grace if we should pack a lunch and eat in the garden.  She was thrilled.  We found a spot and dug in.

ML ate most of her lunch on the go.  She was excited to be out of her chair to eat.  She did find a muddy spot, slipped and covered herself in mud.  A bit messy, especially for her taste.

AG wanted no pictures taken until she hopped onto the butterfly bench.

What a great way to spend a few hours!  The best part of the day was when an older lady parked next to us stopped to comment on how good they were.  She said, "I didn't hear a peep and wondered if you had tranquilized them."  ML answered with a huge scream.  Nope, not tranquilized, just enjoying the day.
