Dress up

Anna Grace pulled out her adorable dress up outfit from Gigi and Grandpa today. She told me that this is what ballerinas wear. She snapped this first picture and then posed for a few more shots.

I think that by the end she was bored and just amusing me and letting me play with the camera.

ADPi brunch

About every two months there is a get together for some of my sorority sisters. It was my turn to host and we had 16 here this morning. There were lots of kids and here is a picture I snapped of AG with Katherine reading books.

It was wonderful to see everyone! Thanks for making the trek to Fort Worth y'all.

Daddy, can you push me?

Anna Grace finds all sorts of fun toys out in the garage. Normally she just plays in the 'white car.' This afternoon it was the creeper that provided the entertainment.

Anna Grace's room

I promised a while ago that we would take pictures of Anna Grace's new bed. This is a sneak preview. The shams aren't finished because I am going to add monogramming to them.

I am spoiled by my mother's talent. I checked out some online sites for custom bedding and went into sticker shock. Thank you mom for visiting, sewing, playing and everything else you do when you visit.

Nonna's visit

I haven't blogged all week because we have been so busy! Nonna flew in on Monday because Grandpa V is playing bridge. Lucky for us, she came here to play, sew and shop.

Dinner out

We had a dinner out with another couple at a new restaurant, Grady's. It is one thing that Matt and I used to do on a really regular basis prior to having Anna Grace. Now we just don't plan ahead enough. But Friday, we met another couple dropped off the kids and enjoyed a lovely evening. I took the camera, but didn't snap a single shot. Thank you for joining us Stacey and Aaron.

24 weeks

I went for my 24 week checkup today. I gained 5.5 pounds and the belly growth looks right on schedule. Every once it a while you can see the baby shift and my belly moves. Matt has felt the movement for about 3 weeks now, my mom felt it while I was in San Antonio, and Sunday Anna Grace felt the baby as well.

Food snob

I have been accused of being a food snob several times. There were even people (i.e. Scott) that assured me that would all change when we had kids. Here we are at the new swanky McD's, or Old MacDonald's if you ask Anna Grace. They have a great play area and she had it all to herself the other day.

Coffee date

Anna Grace and I met Miss Amy for coffee today. As a good mom, she had so many things for Anna Grace to play with! All of course were more fun that any of the "old" toys that I had.

There was some confusion about which Miss Amy would be there. I guess that is because of how many Amys we know. I was so excited to see Amy and AG is already talking about our next visit!

Zoo day!

Anna Grace and I went to the zoo today because it is gorgeous outside. I guess I wasn't the only one with the idea. It was so crowded and there were huge lines.

Clarification: My doctor once told me her secret for the zoo is to go to the bird cage as soon as they open. She said that it's never crowded right away and you can avoid some of the crowds. So we took her advice and headed straight there. It was perfect with 5 of us in there.

Big girl bed

We put Anna Grace in the big girl bed tonight for the first time. We are transitioning her straight into a full size bed...call us crazy. But tonight she went to bed without a sound, cross your fingers it will be this easy! I'll attach pictures to this as soon as the bedding is updated.

Baby Ryan and Jennifer

A couple of weeks ago I posted something about teaching AG to sew. This is what we were working on. It was a quilt for Miss Jen and Baby Ryan. There was a lovely shower in San Antonio and I was glad to catch up with my friends :)

San Antonio again

Anna Grace and I went to San Antonio again mid-week. We had dinner in Waco with Gigi and Granpa and they shuttled us to San Marcos on Wed. where Nonna and V picked us up. It gave us a long weekend with them and we were able to have a great time. We swam, shopped and ate and ate and ate.

Then he was called to doll duty. He got down and played along, helping to put all the clothes on and off. She is pretty good at taking them off, but putting them on is usually a stress on her patience.
