Pool party

And when I left the whole weekend open - we were available for 2 impromptu pool parties.  Here's is ML in her suit.  She is quite fearless about the water - both in a good and bad way.  Lord help me!

Spontaneous

We have had several weeks in a row of totally planned out days.  This weekend I specifically didn't commit to a thing.  Matt has 4 days off and we are just going to enjoy it!  So today we were out and we popped into McDonald's (contain your gasps!) for ice cream and drinks.  The playground was empty and air conditioned.  Yippee!

Summer playdates

I have these great mom friends that are planning lots of summer playdates.  This week we were at the zoo.  I had to get a pictures since both girls left their hats on!

Gifts...

My present for Mother's day came today.  I have hardly played with it at all.  I set it up, got it charged and Matt came home from work.  Seconds later....whose gift was this again?

Morgan Leigh

It is hard to believe our baby is going to turn 1 in a month. I have no idea where this last year has gone. There are definite glimpses into the personality she will have. She is developing a huge vocabulary that changes daily and I seem to have forgotten how fast that changes at this age.

She is saying all kinds of words now, car, milk, more, move, etc. She loves to read Dr. Seuss! Mr. Brown and the Wocket are the big favorites right now, but at bedtime she really prefers Guess How Much I Love You? We also took out Llama Llama Red Pajama this week from the library and she climbed on my bed today with it and said llama. Morgan Leigh also loves the iPad. She says "boom", repeatedly until you play Angry Birds with her.

She loves anything her sister is doing and wants to try to keep up. She also has found her own form of retaliation with pulling her hair. She will punish herself with timeout and seems on the verge of potty training (Yikes!)

She also recently learned to jump with both feet. But, I think my favorite phrase right now though is "daddy home?". She asks every morning and is quite confused when the answer is no and she
can see his truck! 23 months old already!!

Birthday Saturday

The girls and I took off for a Saturday full of birthdays.  I love to celebrate with our friends like this.  The first had a bounce house and all of Anna Grace's friends from school.

The second party was for Morgan Leigh's friend from church.  Sweet little Emily had a pool party and turned 2 exactly a month before ML.  I often think about my first friend Emily when I was growing up and hope that they too will always have that special bond with one another.  It was so fun to go to both parties - but it wore the kiddos out!

Pre-K Graduation

There was a program at school tonight to celebrate the end of the year.  They wore hats, they got "paper" and sang songs.  I got to the church super early and I was the first one there, front and center, the lights weren't even on yet. 

Anna Grace was the mama fish during one of the songs.  She did so well!  Congratulations sweet peanut, we're proud of you! 

These are her wonderful teachers.  I feel so truly blessed to have known each of them and to have them love my daughter for a whole year.  What amazing women!

We were quite teary to say good-bye.  They will always be so special to us.

This is our director and she is just amazing.  I was so lucky to be lead to this school.

Congratulations Anna Grace!  We love you!

Cinderella performance

Anna Grace had her spring performance tonight.  We have a week of rehersals and late evening rehersals.  We are all exhausted and these are a few of my favorite shots from the evening.

She did amazingly well.  She knew right where we were sitting and grinned at us the whole time.

And at the end of their dance, the prince tries the slipper on each girl.

We left the theater without our costumes on, so we came home to take a few family pictures.  She is quite the ham!

Nonna and V got to come in for the big day.  She came out and said, "That was so much fun!  I don't want to do it next year though!"

It was a late night and we are all exhausted.  It was fun, but we are all glad it's over :)

Zoo trip

I have been avoiding the zoo lately, mostly for fear of the crowds.  Today wasn't any different, but we went regardless.  Anna Grace loves to feed the birds and ML could've have left this before we ever entered.

We took a break at the kangaroos and talked about the mommy's sac.

Then we rode the train to the entrance.  We got to the exit and it started to rain and jogged back to the car.  What a wonderful way to spend the day with my girls!

Mother's day

We had a wonderful Mother's day today.  The girls and I snapped this picture before church.

We went to church and to Central Market for brunch.  The girls LOVED the desserts!  ML is turning into quite the ham.

I can't thank Matt and AG enough for making me feel celebrated all weekend. 

Soccer Party

We met at Central Market today for our final Saturday together.  The coach posed with everyone to get their trophy.  We were so lucky to have such an amazing man coach AG.  We thought he was patient, encouraging, and so good with all of the kids.   (In fact, during one practice he wore one of the girls headbands!  LOVED it.)

We were able to snap our team photo as well.
