Giraffes

Morgan Leigh got this adorable pink giraffe from one of my PEO sisters this summer. She was grabbing it yesterday and smiling as it rubbed her face. It is super soft, and could become her new favorite toy.

Sunday dress

I snapped a few more pictures with Gigi here. Morgan Leigh had on her adorable little dress again (thanks Jen) and I couldn't resist a few pictures before church.
Then, when we came home, she was just jabbering away on Gigi's lap.

Thanks again for the impromptu visit Gigi. We love that you are close enough to get to do that.

Gigi's visit

We were lucky enough to have a surprise visit from Gigi yesterday. It's always fun to have company. :).

Pajama day

Anna Grace asked if we could stay in our pj's all day today. I really had no reason not to, so we did. Matt thought I was kidding when I talked to him on the phone. Anyway, it's the first time ever that we've done this.

13 weeks, 3 months

Morgan Leigh is loving sleeping in her own crib. She slept 3 night in a row for more than 10 hours. Believe me, we love it too. I also got a new camera this week. Poor ML is being subjected to a lot of photos and flashes. She can't get up and walk away like Anna Grace does. So, these are 2 that I snapped today trying to figure out how to use it.

P.E.O. Mondays

It's time for my chapter to start our semi-monthly meetings. I love getting to see everyone, but it is difficult for all of us to upset the evening routines. While I was gone tonight Anna Grace got to help feed Morgan Leigh. I know that she was so proud to help out like that, it just shows all over her! Daddy on the other hand, didn't have such an easy time with ML. Hopefully, this gets easier!

Winefest

My friend Whitley and I planned to go to winefest yesterday. The rain made both of us think twice though. She called at 4:30 and said she had talked her hubby into going and Matt and I loaded up too. We were fully prepared for a downpour and because of that the rain held off. It was a gorgeous evening!

Our girls had a blast dancing together, so much so that Brian couldn't resist joining them.

Here is Anna Grace loving on lil Whitley.

And lastly, Anna Grace grooving on her own. Right before we left she said, "Mommy I had such a good time!" So did I sweet girl. Thank you Whitley for encouraging us to come!!

12 weeks

Morgan Leigh moved into her crib last night. She is doing really well sleeping through most of the night, so we thought it was time. Her hair is starting to really come in. It is so fine, and a lot of people are really starting to see a lot of similarities with Anna Grace.

First day of school!

Anna Grace is so excited about her first day of school. In fact, all weekend she has been talking about going and being dropped off. She is getting so big! Here are a few of the pictures we snapped today.

This is the adorable cubby decoration that Miss Shanon made for Anna Grace. I said it wasn't fair to ask a couple of engineers to decorate the red paper.

Before we left a picture with daddy and mommy.

Walking into school.

To use her words, "My eyes are wet!" Her being excited definitely makes it easier on me. Congrats on your big day peanut!

11 weeks old

Anna Grace frequently asks if she can take pictures of Morgan Leigh. So this morning we did and I suggested she lay down with her. It's hard to get them both to look at the camera though because ML is usually entranced by AG.

Morgan Leigh is getting so big! She still has blue eyes, although occasionally I run to the window with her because I think they have started to change. Their still blue every time.

My Fancy Girl

Do you have a little girl? If you answered yes, you've read Fancy Nancy then. Anna Grace played dress up most of the day while her cousins were here. The outfit wasn't complete without the crown and the wings :)

Family visit

We were so lucky that Matt's sister was in a wedding in Dallas this weekend. They came over to spend a little time with us before heading back to Gigi and grandpa's. I only snapped a few pictures, darn! Here are Matt and Betsy with Morgan Leigh.

And the other is of all the kids. It's hard to get 5 kids to look one direction, smile and all of that. The kids had a blast and I wish we could see them more often.

A&M game

Matt took Anna Grace to the season opener this year. We have planned on her getting to go as a special treat for quite some time. I think that she had a blast with the whole experience.

Here she is posing in her new shirt. Matt thought she was almost as excited about the new shirt as going to the game :)

Then they walked over to see PMC. I love the Gig 'Em she's showing!

Then they walked to the game and up all the ramps to our 3rd deck seats. I think she sweet talked daddy into carrying her a good portion of the way. (He's a little sore today!) Matt texted several times during the game to say she was ready to go after the first touchdown, or that the cannon sounded like thunder.

She was totally wound up when they got home last night, or should I say this morning. I got out of bed to listen to her for a few minutes. She said her favorite part was the marching, I love the band too, so I don't blame her.

It was strange being home while they were in College Station. Every year it's hard to gear up for all the home games, but I must admit I missed being there. Happy football season everyone!

Meet the teacher

Anna Grace and I had meet the teacher today at her new school. What an exciting classroom. Miss Colleen will be her teacher and she is wonderful!!! She already met a whole bunch of little girls and we went to someone's house afterwards to play. My little social butterfly is going to love this new experience.

Please pray for mommy as we make this transition. I am a mess!

Daddy and ML

Matt has had a rough week at work. But, last night he got home and sat Morgan Leigh on his lap for a few minutes. She was so steady with her head. What a big girl!

10 weeks

Morgan Leigh is 10 weeks old now. Gosh it is going by quickly. She is sleeping somewhere around 8 hours a night and getting on a pretty regular schedule. She is getting really strong with her head and loves to be on your shoulder and look around.
Morgan is also getting pretty chatty. The coos and shrieks are quite fun. I captured a few of them on video more than a week ago, but am no where near getting those loaded on here :)
