TCU homecoming

We went to the homecoming parade at TCU last night. We accidentally got caught in the traffic last year on our way to dinner. This year we decided to go again. We ran into some old church friends that hadn't seen Morgan Leigh yet and also ran into our neighbors. What a fun way to spend the evening. I love a parade, and AG loved that they threw her candy. (Did we really need more candy??)
And although this isn't my favorite pic of me, I wanted to post a pic of what a trooper ML is. She goes along for anything she is drug to.
On the way home Matt asked AG what flavor the nerds she ate were? Were they strawberry or raspberry? No daddy, they were sweet!

Almost Halloween

Anna Grace had a Halloween party at school today. We dressed up as a kitty cat, which she insisted on being black. Here we are painting her face.

She looked adorable, "meow"! But wasn't thrilled to pose for the pictures. She kept running over to the china cabinet to look in the mirror.

They trick or treated at school and then had a party that Matt and I got to go to. Here she is eating pizza with her buddy Avery. Have I mentioned lately how much I love her school and her teacher. She loves going and is doing great!

And lastly, walking home after school. I love this about her school too! Meow!

18 weeks

Morgan Leigh is 18 weeks old now. My goodness, this goes by too fast. She is still such a relaxed and quiet baby for the most part. She is rolling over, mostly back to tummy, but occasionally tummy to back as well. She has dark blue eyes and an infectious smile.

Blue Angels

All Anna Grace wanted to do today was to go see the airplanes. We took her out to see the Blue Angels this afternoon. It is a pretty entertaining 45 minute show, and I am glad they were running a bit late. (Traffic was horrible on the way there, and we would have missed it otherwise!)

Here we are waiting for it to start. As soon as we got out of the truck and into the truck
bed Anna Grace saw the guy next to us. She said "I wish I had brought my binoculars!" Matt and I almost fell over laughing! (She does have her own pair from the IRL race that Matt drug me to when I was 36 weeks pregnant.)
Morgan Leigh slept in the car for the first part of the show. She woke up and I got her out. 2 minutes later, where we were parked got buzzed. It was SO LOUD! Anna Grace covered her ears and said, "see little Morgan, it's not that bad".
Shortly after that though, she was more concerned with her own ears. :) It was a gorgeous day, and something that Matt loves to do. What a fun way to spend the afternoon!

4 month checkup

Morgan Leigh and I went to the doctor first thing this morning. She had 5 shots (1 orally) and didn't cry at all for the first one. By the last though her little face was completely red and she looked like she would burst!

Weight: 12lbs(25th percentile), height: 25" (75th percentile), head: 16" (60th percentile).

Everyone keeps asking how that compared to AG. Morgan Leigh weighs 1 ounce more, is .25" longer and has .25" smaller head circumference. Hmmm...Just about the same I'd say.

Park outing

Anna Grace and I don't go to the park nearly as much as we used to. Part of it has been the rainy weather this fall, part of it is school, and well some of it is probably me too. We decided to head out on this beautiful day. We had about 15 minutes all by ourselves. Here is AG learning to "pump" her legs to swing. I had trouble capturing the action on my phone camera. After those 15 min, not one, but two friends from her class showed up, unplanned. It was a wonderful morning, and maybe we'll be inspired to do it more often :)

Pumpkin Patch

The church near us, (also where AG goes to school) has a pumpkin patch every year. Last year I kept meaning to get down there, and I missed it somehow. We had a lovely day here and couldn't resist walking down there. I am not quite sure what caught Morgan Leigh's attention...but it obviously wasn't the camera :)

I love this picture with her head all the way back in a laughter! I couldn't resist posting it. She was very excited to get to hold ML for the shots.

Smiles!

I have been in the process of painting our front room this week. It makes the house look like a bomb went off. You could hardly walk in our front room. And because of the layout of our house, that is where we live. We just sleep in the rest of the house.

The girls both enjoyed stretching out in the front room again today. Things are slowly getting put away so that we can play again!

TCU football

What a busy weekend we had! We saw my friend Jennifer and her family in Grapevine for dinner on Friday. Since they moved back we swore we would see them more often...

Saturday we went to the TCU game with Stacey and her family. Matt is a little concerned that ML's first game wasn't an aggie game! It definitely is a different experience than A&M football. Starting with the fact that we got there at 12:30 for a 3 pm game and were one of the first people in their lot. Seriously!

Eli and Anna Grace played for most of the time in the car, they called it their house.
Then we moved over to watch the band and cheerleaders come through. AG was so excited to see the cheerleaders. They even had a bunch of middle school cheerleaders at halftime. So they were all over.
Eli and Anna Grace play so well together that they had to share the same chair, even though there were 5 others to choose from...
Here are Matt and Aaron getting the grill going. We had yummy fajitas and were glad that we could help initiate their new cordless margarita maker.
And lastly, the girls sharing the blanket and a giggle. Thank you so much for inviting us. We had a blast and hope we can do it again!
After we left the game, we went back to their house for pizza. I had ML in the baby bjorn and she was facing out when Stacey started tickling her cheeks. Morgan Leigh let out the biggest giggles. That was her first real laughter, and Matt missed it. :(

16 weeks old

Morgan Leigh has been trying to roll over for really 2 months and I finally got a great picture of it.

As if I don't torture her enough with headbands, bows and pictures, Anna Grace has added to it as well. I snapped the first one and the second is after she convinced me to add the nearest headband :)

Round Rock weekend

We all went to Round Rock late on Friday. It was Morgan Leigh's first big road trip, and she was a champ. She slept almost the whole way there and was really alert to see Gigi and Grandpa. The girls spent Saturday with them while we went to the aggie game. I checked weather.com before packing and it said "abundant sunshine" and 76. It was in the 50's and rainy every day. Needless to say, we were all dressed inappropriately! Staying home is one thing, the aggie game was quite another!
Here are a few shots from the weekend. Anna Grace is making banana bread with Gigi Sunday afternoon.
A quick shot of ML and Gigi.
And lastly, AG checking out Grandpa's train layout. Thank y'all for having us!

Mr. Floppy Nose

This was Anna Grace's favorite toy when she was little too. Nonna gave Morgan Leigh her own since our other one was so well loved.

For fun

Matt was messing around with the camera again last night. Poor ML is subjected to those flashes all the time!

Rolling over

Morgan Leigh has been trying and trying for over a week to roll over. She did it today for the first time. She didn't get her right arm totally out from under herself though so she rolled to her back again pretty easily.

While Morgan Leigh was rolling over, Anna Grace finished the barn that I started with her Legos. She used almost every single one.

Monday night with daddy

Monday was PEO and AG got to feed Morgan Leigh. I think it is such a highlight of those nights for her! What a good big sister.

A&M vs Arkansas

Matt and I were so excited to attend our first game at Cowboy Stadium. We weren't pleased with the results, but we'll get those Hogs next year!

Here's a picture of our friends that attended the tailgate with us.

We even got to tailgate with our normal crew from College Station tailgates.

Lastly, the highlight of the game...Halftime with the Fightin' Texas Aggie band!

Nonna and V

Nonna and V came last Thursday for a busy weekend; I had so many things planned. The Junior League show was Thursday night, a trip to Canton on Friday and Matt and I were off to the Arkansas vs A&M game on Saturday. They left a few hours ago and I think we all need a rest from the activities this weekend :)
Here's V making Morgan Leigh laugh. He is pretty funny.
And lastly a picture of everyone together. Thank you so much for the trip here and the babysitting. We love having our company here!
