Bedtime rituals

The summer is so hard to make the girls go to bed.  7:30 just feels like the middle of the day.  Plus, when we are all hanging out in ML's room, it's as bright as the middle of the day too.  I just had to snap a few pictures of "naked" time.

Here is AG playing a cardboard drum.

I love this happy face!

And lastly, getting in a good giggle and a tickle.

To-dye shirts

Here's Morgan Leigh "to dye" shirt.  Anna Grace wouldn't pose for a picture, so it's just this one.  Such a fun activity!

Ta Dye Party

We had a playgroup meeting today and one of the mom's graciously let seven 4 year olds come over to tie dye.  Anna Grace has been calling it a ta dye party all week though.

Here she is with her bucket and she is super excited to see the results tomorrow.  Thank you to our wonderful moms for organizing and hosting!

Fancy!

Morgan Leigh got a hold of a boa today and she was so excited.  I will be cleaning up pink fuzz for the rest of my life I think, but the girls do have fun with them.

More birthday!

I have a good friend who gives artwork for birthdays.  Can you think of anything better?  Chris actually let me choose what it was this year and I am so excited with my new header for the blog.  I am going to try to take some time to design a background around it, because reading their html codes, makes my eyes cross.  Thank you Chris, for knowing me and knowing what I would like!

Ballet class finale

Oh dear, what can the matter be?  Here is Anna Grace doing their tap routine.  She did so well!

In fact, after the class, the director came up to me to make sure she is enrolled this fall because she did so great!

AG's bike

We finally got a helmet that fits and took the bike out for a spin.

She did great and I am sure we will be spending a lot of time up the street where it's flat and less busy :)

Last day

Here is Anna Grace with her crew.  She was with 1 adult, 2 youth helpers and 5 kids that are 4.  She made a wonderful new friend that even brought her a present one day.

The church was totally decorated for the High Seas adventure.  They started and ended every day in the sanctuary.  When they learned new things God they would respond, "Aye, Aye Lord!"  What a fun week for Anna Grace.

Morgan Leigh danced along to a lot of the music that we have been listening to for weeks.  But mostly, she wanted to get down and explore the aisles and pews.

It was a wonderful week.  I was glad ML and I could go this year too.  "Aye, Aye Lord!"

Gigi's house

Morgan Leigh also found Gigi's hearth.  She makes me very nervous as she toddles over toward hard surfaces like that.  But it is just the right size.  She was too proud.
I left ML on Gigi's bed to read a new book.  They were having a grand time balancing rings on their heads.  I snapped this from the other room.  It's not a great shot - but it's the only pic of Gigi from all week!

More VBS

AG will tell anyone that will listen that she wants long hair like Tyler.  It's getting close and we were able to do a ponytail several days this week

It looks pretty cute.  Here she is standing at the door asking if it was time to go yet.

VBS at Gigi's

We left last night for Round Rock so that Anna Grace could go to VBS at Gigi's church.  It started off a pretty typical morning, except that I needed to get gas on the way to church.  That was followed by locking my keys, my purse, my phone and worst of all both girls, in the car.  A really wonderful man called the RR fire department and they were so quick.  Except they can't break into cars anymore.

While we waited for the locksmith, we were able to talk Anna Grace out of the shoulder straps of her car seat.  And then got her to unlock the door.  Whew!  The fire men gave the girls hats, which ML wanted nothing to do with....What a way to start the week!  It wasn't my finest hour.

The good news is they were both fine.  Totally fine and we went onto bible school without further incident. Morgan Leigh found the green chair at Gigi's that evening.  She was totally happy to sit there and read her favorite Mr. Brown.

More birthday pics

Anna Grace got some new books from Anut Kim and Uncle Brad (so did ML, but she doesn't pose with them very well!)

Then last night we celebrated with Gigi and Grandpa on their way home from Nashville.  Anna Grace got a dress up outfit and lots of fun princess things.

Morgan Leigh got the cutest little wheelie bug too.  So fun!  We missed the cute shot when she first got on.  Gigi was talking to her and daddy was behind with the camera....

We also opened presents from Aunt Betsy and family. She always finds these great wooden toys. This is a little stacking clown that ML is enamored with.

I think Morgan Leigh is really taken with the ladybug too.  Thank you everyone for the adorable things!

Happy Birthday Anna Grace!

We told Anna Grace last night that we could start opening present first thing in the morning.  Then, I had the horrible thought that she might wake up at 4 or something crazy, so I said after 7am.  She woke up at 7:03, and we were into the presents right away!
She got this wardrobe filled with doll clothes from Nonna and V.  I don't think she fully understands the effort associated with such a gift, but I sure do.  The clothes are adorable, and she was so excited to receive them!

She also asked for a bicycle out of the blue a few weeks ago.  That was great because, that is what she was getting from us :)  Of course, the helmet that I bought is too small and that's so disappointing to get a present you can't use because you don't have all the equipment!  But, we were busy today and can take care of that soon.
Anna Grace talked Grandpa into playing dolls for a LONG time this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Nonna and I worked on the cake, and worked on the cake and worked on the cake.
Here's the finished product.
Here are the kids decorating their crowns for the party.
Everyone enjoying the cake and homemade ice cream.
And then taking some time to open a few gifts.  We ended the party with a dinner designed by Anna Grace.  That means ketchup, "sweet beans" and potato salad.  :)  Thanks to everyone that called, texted, skyped, visited and all around celebrated the sweetest peanut I know!  We love you Anna Grace.

Morgan Leigh's Party!

I put off Morgan Leigh's party this year, and I keep telling myself that she won't know the difference.  It was a small affair, Nonna and V, and the Rumfelts (her godparents) came over for some cupcakes and homemade ice cream.

Here's the table all set for the guests to arrive.
She "opened" a few gifts from all of us.  She wasn't quite into the present opening, like the older kids thought she should be.  They did offer to teach her how to properly open a gift though :)

This is about when our camera died.  Nice, I know.  So we are totally dependent on Stacey's camera.  Silly mom for not charging the camera!  But thankfully, Stacey could save the day.
She really did like the ribbon though :)
Aaron hopefully enjoying himself!  We did toast with a few bullfrogs, and that helped :)
She left it on for a brief moment before we sang Happy Birthday.
Yummy!
She enjoyed every bit of that cupcake and ice cream.....And it shows!  Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate our little cupcake.
