Anna Grace loves posing for pictures with Morgan Leigh. I think part of it is because she gets to "hold" her all by herself.
Late birthday celebration
The girls' both had checkups today at the doctor. For Anna Grace it was her 3 year well-visit. Morgan Leigh had her 4 week check-up. Both girls couldn't be healthier, we are so blessed.
Morgan Leigh turned 4 weeks old today. (We will see the doctor on Thursday, for shots and weight checks.)
The wrap up for VBS was today. There was a short program with each age group, and then all the kids together, followed by a lunch.
As usual, Anna Grace was a ham, once she saw me!
She had so much fun and it was great to finally hear all the songs they learned. She had told us earlier this week that they sang about bananas, which Matt and I both dismissed. Sure enough, there is a song that says bananas in it!
Because we are in between churches right now, Anna Grace has gotten to be a guest at VBS this year. Last month she went to Gigi's church and this month we are at another Episcopal church here in town. The first day that I took her in, we met her teacher and a girl in her class when she said, "mommy, you can go now!" I guess she wasn't too intimidated by all the new faces and places. That's my little independent girl.
Anyway, there is a farm theme and today they had a petting zoo. Anna Grace loved petting the "horse" (although it was a miniature donkey, close!) And here she is in front of the barn. I can't wait until Friday so that I can see all that she has learned.
Morgan Leigh turned 3 weeks old yesterday. Her cord fell off Monday and so we had our first real bath last night. It was a true family affair, as all of us crowded in our tiny little bathroom. Anna Grace even washed her toes. It was so cute.
We were invited to see the baseball game Saturday with some of our friends. They had a suite and I was happy to get go take ML out, without sitting in the heat. The mascot visited the suite and let the kids take some pictures.
They snapped this one outside watching the game. It was so fun. Thanks for the invitations!
Here are the kids lined up on the deck jumping into the grass. They were having so much fun, it was a little infectious.
Here is AG's birthday cake, it's a little bit of a payback for the cakes that I used to request from my own mom. But, having said that, Nonna got to decorate a good portion of this cake as well :)
Blowing out her candles.
Anna Grace showing off her little sister.
And lastly opening a few presents. Thank you to everyone for making her birthday celebration extra special!
Many of you have asked for pictures of the nursery. It's still a work in progress as far as the decorations and things go, but my mom has finished the bedding. We went to Dallas on Tuesday and picked out the fabric and she has sewed like mad to get all of this done. I loved the way that it turned out and look forward to doing the rest of the decorating.
Here's a shot inside the crib, she made a sheet out of one of the trim fabrics and the bumper pads are made from minky. Thank you Nonna for all of the sewing time. I love it!
I have been wanting to snap a picture of my girls together for a frame that Shanon made for us. We got a chance to do that this morning. Morgan Leigh has on this adorable little outfit from our neighbors and Anna Grace picked something cute to wear today as well.
