Gig 'Em

The girls were a little excited about the game tonight.  Anna Grace even had out her monogrammed 12th man towel.

And she knows how to signal touchdown for a great play.  Luckily, there were a couple of those for her before she was off to bed.

Morgan Leigh just enjoying it all!

Beautiful Sunday

It is our first Sunday at home in weeks.  And what a glorious day it was!  We had church outside, but it was still quite chilly.  The clouds broke and we couldn't resist an afternoon out front.  ML waving.

Anna Grace played some hopscotch.

She also tried some gymnastics in the grass.

And lastly, I suddenly became the jungle gym for the girls.  What a way to spend the afternoon.

15 months

Morgan Leigh turned 15 months old.  She is growing up so quickly it seems.  In fact, somehow she managed to cut 3 (almost 4) teeth without me noticing.  She is saying more and more words, the newest is dog, when we were in Phoenix.  She LOVES to skype, call us sometime and I'll show you.

We are adjusting to AG's school days again.  Most days I think she is just content to take a nap for most of the time she is away.  It is so quiet!  I snapped some pictures today with one of her favorite toys.  I love the determined look trying to get the balls out through the top.

Pettiskirt

I bought a pettiskirt a while back for their cousin's birthday.  She is all girlie girl and I thought she might love it.  I let ML try it on to model it for daddy and she pranced around in it.  I literally raced back to the store so that she could have one too.  I don't know how on earth I ended up with these two little girlie girls, but I do LOVE it.

She has just been giggling and showing off all day.  I think the shy little girl is disappearing...

Family trip

We took the girls to Phoenix last weekend for a little family vacation.  It is certainly hard to travel with the two of them, but so worth the time with Matt's family.

Here is a picture of AG playing with her second cousin.  They were fabulous together and this was their first meeting.  He is 2 and she is 4.  I will let y'all use the comment section to fill in what the caption should be for this particular photo.

The next day they sent us to a water park that was fantastic.  It was 110 that day and the park was perfect.  It almost made it bearable.  Anna Grace didn't enjoy it too much.  The water got in her face and she was done.

Morgan Leigh on the other hand...she LOVED it!  I have tons of pictures of her enjoying it.  I wish there was something like that close to us.

Then we went back to enjoy some happy hour time.  Anna Grace crawled up to tell her great aunt all kinds of stories.

Saturday we went to a UofA vs Iowa football game and Uncle Rick needed help with the hawkeye poster.  (This is one of my mom moments to let things go!  You gave her a huge black permanent marker and want her to color in the lines?  She did great at all of it and it led me to wonder why I can't let go of more things...)

She was so proud and really wanted to bring the poster home even.

After that we loaded onto a bus, pretended we were rock stars and got chauffered to and from the game.  Matt and I had a day to recover on Sunday and then headed home on Monday.

We can't thank everyone enough for all the hospitality.  It was a fabulous trip and we can't wait to all be together again soon!

Aggieland!

I do love aggieland on gameday.  We took both girls to the game Saturday and had a wonderful time!  Here is Anna Grace CATCHING a football at the tailgate.  Matt said it only took her a couple of tries and then she did great!

Then we hiked up to our seats with both girls.  It was beyond hot, can you tell?!  It was Morgan Leigh's first aggie game and she is wearing a shirt that says "Born to Whoop!"

It was Patriot's Day at the game.  They had first responders lining the field, it was awesome.

We stayed the night in a hotel.  It was our first experience with both the girls in a single hotel room too.  Ahh, fabulous!  But the best part about staying the night is getting up the next day and seeing an A&M campus without the masses.  Like Kyle Field, virtually empty.

And lastly, Morgan Leigh bonding with E. King Gill.  Then we did some shopping and ended with lunch at Koppe Bridge.  It was a wonderful weekend, full of firsts for everyone.  Matt was thrilled to share his favorite thing with everyone.

Back to school (2)

Today turned out to be our first day.  We got home on Wednesday and Anna Grace opted to take off her skirt and change her clothes so she could still wear this on the first day of school.   (I think she would gladly opt to change clothes about as many times as I let her most days!)

As it turns out, the weather was perfect this morning, so I got some much better pics than during the horrible rain!  Here she is in front of her school  She was so done taking pictures by this point.  Her friends had arrived, I am done is what this says to me!

Here she is posing for the other mom with one of her friends.  I love them!

We finally went into the classroom and Anna Grace took off.  Here she is at her locker.  My little independent girl didn't want any help, she is totally in her element.

She posed for one last picture with her teacher Miss Angela, then she blew me a kiss and we were off!   We are looking forward to another fantastic year with our new teacher!

Back to School

Well, almost!  We got all ready, daddy stayed home, we took pictures etc.  Then we loaded both girls into the car and got drenched.  Our front sidewalk was like a river.  We pulled up to the school (in two cars!) and the director ran out to say they were flooded.  School was cancelled :(  Anna Grace was crushed!  We'll try again on Friday.

Gigi and Grandpa's

The girls had another long weekend at Gigi and grandpa's house.  They have such a great time there.

And Matt managed to get a great shot of both of them :)

Gig 'Em Aggies!

We went to the first A&M game this weekend.  Matt was thrilled with the flyover this weekend.  I have to give him a hard time about how many pictures we have of flyovers.

As always, it was  wonderful to go to the game and we are looking forward to a busy football season!

Zoo day

We had a wonderful day at the zoo today.  It has been a long time since we have gone and had it all ot ourselves.  We met Robert and Makenzie and had a lovely time.

We even got to see one of the crocodiles swim around.  They usually are so still it's hard for the kids to see them.  But today, they were swimming with the turtles.  So fun!  Morgan Leigh was totally getting into the zoo too, but I didn't snap any shots of her.  Next time!
