BBQ showdown

Matt has been asking and asking to go to the showdown.  I won't lie, I didn't want to go.  And then the event sold out and it was a non-issue.  But I saw a post tonight for free tickets and knew we should do it.  We were in luck too because mom and dad were here to watch the kids.  So an hour into the event we walked into this.  The best part was the burnt bacon ends.  I am pretty sure they were life-changing, but we won't tell Matt I enjoyed it!

Crawfish boil

Today we had a crawfish boil for some friends and family.

I loved how the kids all sat in this circle!  Fun times for sure!

Easter Eggs

It was a beautiful day to dye the Easter Eggs outside.  My mom commented on this photo that her plant behind the girls is still alive.  We have been given the task of keeping these alive in preparation for their move.  We shall see.  It hailed the day after they brought half of them.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday and I am pretty sure this was the highlight of church for AG.  She has an adorable little man on her lap!

Biscuits

I told you this was their favorite breakfast.  They could eat them every day!

Today was too pretty to play games inside.  Woo hoo Spring break!

Bike riding

We don't have any place in our neighborhood to ride bikes.  So we usually go down to the trails.  Morgan Leigh looks like an old pro without her training wheels.  The days of spring break are short and we are trying to squeeze in everything left!

Crafts and praise

The girls are totally content decorating foam eggs and singing praise music.  Happy Spring Break!

Silliness

I couldn't resist this giant sombrero in the store today.  I know that my time is short lived for her to do things like this with me.  Pretty soon I will be embarrassing her for sure!

Miniature golf

We took the girls to golf for the first time ever.  I can't believe we haven't ever done this before!

Gigi and grandpa joined us and then we went for a sweet treat.  Woo hoo Spring Break!

Iowa friends

We got to spend some time with friends from Iowa tonight.  They were in town visiting and came over for dinner.  I love that our old friends have children that bond instantly!  My girls are already asking when they can come again.

Fire pit

I thought tonight would be the perfect temp for a fire.  I asked Matt without really thinking that it has rained for 5 days.  Well, Matt used that as an excuse to get out his torch to dry out the wood.  He seriously wanted to light that fire!

Biscuits

Anna Grace is getting to be quite the expert biscuit maker.  Which is a good thing, because it's one of her and daddy's favorite breakfasts.  Let me know when you want to join us and I'll have her whip up a batch!

Awards ceremony- 4th six weeks

Anna Grace earned A Honor roll this 6 weeks.

But she also earned 3rd place for her science fair project.  She was thrilled!  We are so proud of your hard work peanut!

Giggles

Spanish Immersion problems - Lake Huron is really hard to say.  But the giggles afterwards were priceless.  

First grade music performance

The first graders performed tonight at school.  It was their third performance of the day.  Our music teacher did a great job!

A million stories

They cannot get close enough to him to tell him all about every moment of their day.  Just a typical Monday.

Soccer games

Here is most of our team with the Chick Fil A cow.  Such a fun treat to see him this morning and get some coupons.

Our sweet friends came to cheer for ML too.  She had another great game today with an assist.  Go Power Chicks!

Sue and a Who

It's a Dr. Seuss dress up day.  Morgan Leigh has read every Dr. Seuss book we have in the house.  Although she thought Fox in Socks was silly, that is where she found Sue who sews socks.  Anna Grace chose someone from whoville.

So she has two crazy braids that criss-cross and of course Christmas things.

We are getting ready for Dr. Seuss day tomorrow and ML chose someone with curly yellow hair.
