Last day

Here are a few shots from the last day we were all together. I know we all have treasured memories from your visit. Thank you Brad, Kim, Blake and Jordie for making the trip to see us. We love all of you!

What does it mean when a baby reaches for your wine with an open mouth?

Nonna and V also loaded up for a trip to the park, after everyone else left, on our last day there. What a fantastic visit. As Jordie said, "we miss you already!"

Anna Grace asked if we could paint our nails. She was pretty insistent that Nonna paint hers, Jordie's, mine and aunt Kim's. Matt was right that she should only get to do it at Nonna's because it is about enough to put me over the edge.

It was warmer today so AG convinced a few more people in to the pool in the afternoon. It was so nice that several of us got in that night too.

And a shot of her favorite from this trip. She could hardly unattach herself from Jordan. Jordie obliged and played barbies and magna-tiles and anything else AG asked of her.

Nonna's house

There is always a lot to squeeze in with this much family around. But we still managed to relax a little. Grandpa V got the pool ready, and we can't thank him enough for the hours of work on that goes into that. We love the results and the pictures. AG conned daddy into the pool with him when it was a cool 82.

Morgan Leigh with Nonna and Jordan on the porch. What a beautiful day to be outside!

ML's getting a little snuggle with uncle Brad. My little naked girl was loving every minute. I think I have an almost identical shot of AG with Brad in almost the same spot in mom's house.

We also made a trip the new part of the river walk downtown. Mom and dad had tickets to ride the river taxi, but we called and waited and they never showed.

More family

We loaded up from Round Rock and headed to San Antonio to see Uncle Brad and his family there. We walked in the door and immediately tore into the gifts. We opened a few presents and had some wine. Morgan Leigh was well loved on the whole time we were there, here she is with Aunt Kim.

Nonna and AG in the aftermath. She has on her new pettiskirt and the magna-tiles that were from Nonna and V. They are super fun!

Christmas day

We hung our stockings after getting home from the 11:00 service.

Here is Anna Grace digging in the stocking for all the santa goodies.

Morgan Leigh getting some help opening her gifts. She was in love with the bows!
Anna Grace certainly is tickled by what ever is going on :)
Gigi cuddling with ML before taking pictures.
When I was growing up, there was always a lot of entertainment in the group family shots. Getting the tripod shots, making everyone looking at the camera etc. We have lots of funny memories of those pictures. It always gives me a little giggle when we do the family shots, but they are so treasured.
It's much easier to get shots of the girls when we aren't relying on the timers.

One of my favorite shots of the day. Morgan Leigh cannot get away from the camera.
We bribed Anna Grace with M&M's to join in for a few pictures.

Merry Christmas Eve!

We have had such a busy and fun Christmas Eve. We attended the children's service at Gigi's church this afternoon. We snapped a couple of gorgeous pictures of Morgan Leigh.
And of course, Anna Grace needed to be a part of it as well.
After the service we snapped a picture of Grandpa with Anna Grace (Gigi was working...so we'll have to get full shots tomorrow)
Our family of four.
And lastly, Anna Grace made reindeer food at school, and Gigi bought some to make sure that Santa can find her. She went and sprinkled it in the yard before dinner. It was FREEZING outside so it was a quick process.
We are all resting up as I type this for the 11pm candlelight service. We wish everyone who reads this a blessed Christmas!

Santa Claus is coming

We finally made it down to see Santa Claus tonight. Anna Grace was so excited to see him arrive as we got there a little early. (She is sporting a new scarf that Miss Ryan made her too.)

Here are both girls on his lap. Morgan Leigh got a handful of his beard, ouch!

And lastly, giving her list to him. She did forget to tell him we won't be at home, I wonder if that will present any problems....

La Posada

Our neighbors invited us to their church's celebration of La Posada. It was fantastic! They have a procession of Mary and Joseph with a donkey, and 3 camels that visit them.
Then it ends with carols, goodies and a small petting zoo.

Thank you so much for the invitation, we look forward to making it part of our annual tradition!

Mabank visit

We just got home from a trip to our friends

to the east. They were nice enough to host our loud family of 4 for the night. What a great time to see them, we had so much fun y'all and can't wait to do it again soon!

First cereal

Morgan Leigh got her first breakfast today.

We had a really low-key day planned and I thought it might be a good time to try something new. She is wearing one of my favorite kind of bibs (Mullins Square) from Miss Isabell. So cute!

Christmas program

I know that most of you don't want to see an entire program of 3 year olds singing a Christmas program. But, I ended up taking a camera with a dead battery for still shots, so this is all we have. Anna Grace did a fantastic job and knew most of the words and motions for the times she sang it at home.

25 weeks

Morgan Leigh is getting so big. I am amazed every day at how strong she is and how close she is to sitting unassisted. But she is also really intrigued with all things Anna Grace. We colored tonight before story time and she was grabbing for crayons and reaching to color herself. She still has gorgeous blue eyes and a little tuft of hair that is almost long enough so that it won't stand straight up. I check her mouth daily for those 2 bottom teeth, they've got to be close.

Holy Baptism

Morgan Leigh was baptized today at church. We were so blessed to have a full room of support. I cannot say thank you enough to everyone who traveled here to be present for our special day. It means so much to Matt and I both.
Here we are with our Bishop and Morgan Leigh's Godparents, Stacey and Aaron Rumfelt.
After church, we hosted a brunch at our home for everyone. We snapped some pictures before everyone was on their way again. ML with her doting grandparents.
A better shot with Morgan Leigh's Godparents.
A quick shot of us with Morgan Leigh. (Anna Grace really didn't want to participate, so the ones with her didn't turn out quite as well!)
And lastly, the kiddos that played so wonderfully together throughout the brunch. Thank you all for coming and being with us on this special day!

Gingerbread houses

Ok, so they aren't actually gingerbread. We will make those eventually, but when we have a short attention span, it's easier to decorate graham crackers. Here's Anna Grace with her's. I think I caught her mid-sneeze and didn't snap another shot. Oops!

Nonna decorating her house.

And lastly, V and Morgan Leigh watching the progress. A little candy, a little wine, and lots of fun. Glad that Nonna and V could come enjoy it with us!

Christmas Tree

Anna Grace was so anxious to get our tree this year. I was too, but we had to wait until after the PEO meeting. It was just too much to try to get a tree up and make room for all the PEO ladies Monday. So Wed. night we raced through and picked out a tree. It was so COLD!

Anna Grace couldn't wait for daddy to get home to start decorating. She was on a mission and

I must say, that is the fastest I have ever seen a tree decorated. Most are hanging about 2 feet off the ground....but she did it quickly!

Morgan Leigh was hanging out nearby eyeing some of the ornaments on the lower level.

Then daddy came home to help put the tree topper on. It was quite comical the way they did it.

And lastly, after Anna Grace was done. :) Needless to say, it needed a little trimming and straightening!
