Story time

AG had to take over story time tonight in the bilingual book.  So great to have mom here for the week!

Yucatan

Nothing like a plate of nachos for ML.  We shared these today after taking Nonna shoe shopping.  We hardly made a dent.  I needed AG there to help out.

Knitting cirlce

AG got home today and wanted to learn how to knit.  Nonna taught her this afternoon and soon we will all have new scarves!

Purple!

Couldn't resist a picture of that purple tongue, even if you can't see it.  Nothing like McKinely's to give you a goofy colored grin!
Nonna is here and it's a favorite lunch spot for today!

They love to help make pasta!

Stock show

ML has been off and on with a fever for 4 days now.  We took advantage of her feeling better to get out of the house.  The baby chicks are one of our favorite things to watch.

And some sweet 4-H girl let AG hold her chicken too.  She posed right away.  Stinker!  What a great day to be outside enjoying the stock show!

Origami Bugs

We got these bugs today in our lunch.  She's too little to fold them, but we have had a blast launching them all over the house!

Cuddles

ML pays more attention to Taylor than I ever expected.  Given the chance she's usually tackling the dog for a cuddle.  However, the dog must love it because when ML calls "Tay" she comes running!

Spring time

Today was an unseasonably warm Jan day.  AG even wore spaghetti straps!  Perfect day for a ride on the swing.

Giggles!

I love the giggles that come out of my niece's mouth at the hands of my hubby!

S'mores

It's the perfect night for a fire, some wine, s'mores and family.  What could be better?

Crafting

Anna Grace learned a new bracelet pattern from her sweet friend Tyler last night.  She couldn't wait to get to use her loom to make another.

This is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon.  Perler beads, coloring, rainbow loom...Let's craft!

Oops!

One of my resolutions this year, was to blog more frequently.  I started the year really well.

And then this happened....I think that God needed me to pause before blogging about this interruption in our lives.  The reason is that I could not tell you then all the amazing ways we have been blessed post accident until now...

The first thing I immediately realized was, praise GOD I was alone.  This was Anna Grace's bike helmet after that accident.  I almost fell to my knees right then.  Both the other driver and I walked away from the accident.  It's just a car....

But everything else seems to fall into place.  From the first person to show up on the scene to be with me until Matt arrived and everyone who has prayed for us in between, we are truly blessed!

Sunday funday

We met some friends after church for lunch.  The kids were so wound up to all be together that I joked they drank my espresso!

All fall I have been trying to find maroon skinnies for myself.  Now it's kind of a joke, everyone in the family owns maroon pants, except for me.  Matt dressed for church this am and ML was insistent to match him.  (I should note that Matt's are not skinny, he would have lots of words for me if I didn't make that clear!)

Parties and nails

ML got invited to a drop off birthday today.  They had pancakes and bacon with cake!  She brought home some nail polish and the girls were excited to try painting their own nails.  This is Morgan Leigh's first shot.  So far so good....

McKinley's

We don't get take-out from here very often and while we were waiting for them to prepare the order, ML found this great window to watch Lori decorate some stock show cookies.

Then we were able to take our favorite lunch to share with Anna Grace.  Such a special time and we won't get to do this very much longer :(

Brrr...

It is unusually cold here this morning.  It's our first day back to school from the holiday and I looked back to see my munchkin all bundled up.  I couldn't resist snapping a picture!

La Posada

Every year we attend the AHUMC annual La Posada.  It is such a wonderful event to recreate the Christmas Story.  This year it was freezing so we stayed in the car until it was time to start.  You can see the camels in the background getting ready.

I really love that they moved the even to coincide with Epiphany because it is such a wonderful way to finish celebrating the Christmas Season.

Tea time

The girls had a little tea time with Nonna while V and I ran an errand. Only instead of tea, they had hot chocolate and cookies :)

Legos with V

As I said she still needs a little help and she can sweet talk just about anyone she fancies into sitting with her for an hour!

Wine time and presents

The girls were anxious to start opening all the gifts in the front room from Nonna and V.

They received this huge jeep and airstream like trailer for the American Girls.

And more Legos of course!

The trailer has about a million pieces that are all zip tied and heat sealed into place.  It's super cute and here's V showing ML how to do the bed after she waited patiently to get all the plastic off it!  Thanks Nonna and V for spoiling our girls!

San Antonio library

We came to San Antonio to have Christmas with my parents.  (And to let Matt work a little without guilt.)  The girls got out of the car and helped Nonna check the free library she put it.  Such a fun tradition for them!
