Matt offered some assistance to his dad fixing the pool light today.  I was cracking up when they put the girls blinged out goggles on.

House for sale

My parents have decided to sell their San Antonio home and move closer to us.  The girls are ecstatic.  AG is intent on finding them a home here.  The girls watch enough HGTV that they are discussing the budget here.  I was cracking up!

Bike rider!

We walked down to the park today to learn how to ride without training wheels.  She took a little encouragement - but she's doing great.  Family bike rides will be so much more fun now, when the weather cooperates!

SIX!

Today is the birthday party.  She is grinning from ear to ear.  She wanted a "craft" party to tie dye shirts.  Since I am such a sucker - that is exactly what we are doing.

We successfully dyed several shirts and I think only I was the only one that got dye on my toes.  Success!

I'm so glad they had fun and enjoyed it!  I was worried about pulling it off with these many girls!

Gigi kept the crafts going inside with flower pens, bubble art, and tissue paper butterflies.

We are so grateful for these sweet girls that celebrated her today.  Happy 6th birthday Morgan Leigh!

Pool time

This background may be the most constant thing in our summer.  Daddy just asked where we were - at Gigi's pool of course!

VBS - ALL IN!

This church does an amazing VBS program!  My girls are invited by friends every year and it is powerful to see kids this excited about God.

Morgan Leigh turns 6 today.  It was a big day, we started with VBS and they were both famished when I picked them up.  We went to McKinley's for the best mac 'n cheese.  And of course, her godmother lavished treats on her.

She was insistent that Gigi and Grandpa accompany us for dinner to Chuy's tonight.

Here she is opening her present from Matt and I.  I'm not sure she quite gets what it is at this point.  It's hard to get excited about a "piece of paper".  It is a ticket to the Taylor Swift concert.  Her sister however about tackled me when she figured out she got one too!

We stuck candles in a cupcake for tonight and sang.  Happy Birthday sweet cupcake!  You bring so much laughter and love to our lives and we are so grateful God gave us you!

Father's Day!

We absolutely love celebrating this man as a dad.  He is loving, fun, patient and dedicated.  I love him and the way he loves these girls.

Cookie baking

The girls are stirring up a batch of their favorite cookies from McKinley's.  We will see if they are as good.  I just couldn't resist showing that pants aren't required.  Cross another thing off the bucket lists!

Soccer camp

The girls had a choice of which camp they wanted to attend this year.  Morgan Leigh chose soccer camp at TCU.  We were supposed to meet a friend there, but she got sick this week and wasn't able to come.  It's ok though because she said it was a blast!

Concerts in the garden

We joined some dear friends for the concerts in the garden again this year.  Always a fun night for sure!

So good to be with friends for the evening.  We don't get together nearly enough!  But tonight was the first night that we were able to send the kids off to Gigi's for the night.  We are spoiled for sure!

Yoga morning

The girls were anxious to meet me on my mat today for a little yoga.  Happy summer!

First day!

What do you do on your first full day of summer?  Swim of course!  It was the first thing on their list.

Happy birthday Grandpa!

Tonight was the perfect night to celebrate grandpa Tom's birthday.  We grilled tenderloin and made his favorite Key Lime pie.

Awards ceremony, part 2

Anna Grace had her award ceremony today.

It is so much fun to get to see each of these kids as they have grown up in school together.

And her 3rd grade teacher.  She has a special bond with her and I am grateful for the progress she has made this year!  What a great year peanut!

It's a "dress up" day for the kids.  What do you do with a room full of kindergarten kiddos that are all dressed up and they have 30 minutes not to get anything on their outfits?  A fashion show of course!!

This is Morgan Leigh's whole class.  21 kiddos.

And her amazing teachers.  They have made this such a wonderful year and I am pretty sure that we could not love them more!

This is one of the first years that Matt hasn't been traveling for the awards day.  Congrats on a great Kinder year Cupcake!

Field day/fun day

The rain has made a mess of the fields that are usually used for field day.  After two cancellations they finally squeezed it into the last week of school.  They had hot dogs and a picnic.  These sweet girls were all smiles by the time I arrived.
