Power Chicks!

These sweet friends are on the same team this year.  It's the first game and you never really know what to expect.  They had a ball and they won.  Go Power Chicks!!

The best part about science fair is when it is done!!  Anna Grace is very proud!

Soccer practice

We have our first soccer practice tonight and the girls are ready to meet their teammates.

Science Fair

All the essentials within a fingertips reach.  Computer, notes, instruction, water, sweethearts.  I'm sure that our future will look more and more like this!  #iloveschoolprojects was on my instagram, but daddy said I needed a sarcasm font.

Shrek!!

I took the girls to see our sweet babysitter in a musical today.  The love plays and although ML was unsure about this particular play, she wanted to see Sarah!  It was a very well done production and they had a blast.

I felt the need to race out of the theater though because I have to be at a dinner in an hour!  Luckily, the star of the show (as far as they were concerned) met us on our way out to take a pic!

20 YEARS!

Matt and I rarely celebrate the anniversary of when we started dating.  But today marks 20 years!  Officially, I think that means I have known him longer thank I didn't know him.  Tonight we toasted many happy years together, and many more to come.

Oops!

I got a call from the school nurse today.  She said Anna Grace had fallen and hurt her ankle at lunch.  She didn't think it looked too bad though.  She sent her to class with and ice pack.  By 1:45 I had another call to come and get her and take her to the doctor.  This is what it looked like while we were waiting for a Dr. appt.

By the time they called us back, they recommended we go to the Sports Clinic next door and see an orthopedic doc.  He was surprised that the x-ray didn't show a break.  He said 10 days in the walking boot.  She was smiley until she realized that meant not running Cowtown this year.  She and her daddy have been training since Jan. 1.

Hearts, Flowers, and Love

We usually fix a fancy dinner in on Valentine's Day.  The girls set the table with china, crystal and lit the candles.  We had tenderloin tonight with this amazing lemon cheesecake.  I love this tradition!

Bananas Foster

We ended up eating dinner at one of the old time restaurants.  I am pretty sure when you show up at 5:30, we are guaranteed to be one of the youngest there.  But it's Casa night and we love to do a nice dinner out.  They do a very cool dessert presentation though.  The girls are anxiously awaiting Bananas Foster cooked almost table-side.

Valentines

My girls love to search Pinterest for what our perfect Valentine will be each year.

Valentine's Parties

The girls were able to dress up for their parties at school today.  It's always quite a decision which outfit to wear when you rarely get the opportunity to choose.  These cuties are sending their love to you!

Student of the week

 Morgan Leigh was put in a drawing this week to be student of the week.  You get to bring home this monkey and tell where you got to take him.

Christ the Redeemer

I love our church family.  The first Sunday of the month is all about the kids.  From the music to the sermon.  He has a world map down on the floor and this was such a precious time.  We certainly are blessed to worship with Father Mark.

Sweet Sammies

It's freezing out, but the girls were insistent that it was a perfect day for some ice scream.  Hard to resist the smiling faces for sure.

Taco Heads

I am going to love the new spot Taco Heads has picked out.  Today we met V as he drove into town for lunch.  Beer at lunch on the patio, only if you twist my arm!  And of course the girls are off from school for the stock show.  This is as close as I will get though since every child gets a free ticket!

New game

Nonna can always be talked into a game.  Always.  This is some new card game that is so complicated.  But they had a blast playing it!  Mom is here this week while V is off playing bridge at a tournament.

Prayer Journals

As are service project this spring, our mom's bible study is giving prayer journals to one of our local outreach partners.  We met at church today during our normal study time and crafted these.  I am so thrilled that each person has touched these journals and hope that they are a blessing to the ladies who receive them!
